Do I have to perform any maintenance to my device?

Ignition interlock devices devices require calibrations routinely to maintain the integrity of the device in order for it to continue to accurately measure your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BAC). Once installed, your device has to be calibrated every 60 days. Your device will give you a reminder through its LCD display when it comes close to the 60 days for calibration, and will display how days, hours, and minutes are left before your device expires. If you do not get your device calibrated before your device expires, you will not be allowed to start your vehicle until the calibration is done. There will also be a service fee charged for calibrations. Calibration can be done here at MnM Mobile Solutions as well.

What if I'm locked out of my IID?

A lock out is a state-mandated function that will not allow you to start your vehicle. A lockout may occur due to missing a calibration, to many failed start-up attempts, failed rolling retest, or if there is suspicion that the device has been tampered with. If the device displays "lock out" on the LCD screen with only minutes being counted down then you are in temporary lockout and you may start your vehicle with a passing breath sample after the timer expires. If the lock out countdown is in days, then it is a service lockout. In this case you will need to contact Intoxalock at 877-777-5020 to order a new device. Once the countdown on a service lockout is expired, you will not be able to start your vehicle until you have a new device installed, you will also be responsible for all fees.
